Error with coping OSTicket from production to dev server.

Hi all,


General info:

osTicket Version: v1.9.14 (8b927a0)

Web Server Software: Microsoft-IIS/8.5

MySQL Version: 10.0.14

PHP Version: 7.0.15


I took a copy of both the database and site from our production server and then installed on a new development server with MYSQL and php installed. I created a new site in IIS and pointed to the folder where I pasted the site. I also restore the copy of the database on the new database that I created from the backup I did from production. The webpage generate and error? I can seem to be able to start the site at all. any suggestion?

The IIS log file do not show any error. The PHP error log file show error and the file is attached. The webpage show a 500 error print also attached.

Hi guys,

A while ago I seem to remember that when a new ticket was submitted the email sent out contained a link. It still contains a link but previously this link would allow the submitter to go straight into the ticket and view the updates, and their previous tickets.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to reinstate this. The links simply ask customers to logon, which I dont really want.

Any ideas please?

Logo not showing on PDF output

Hi Everyone,

It seems that our logo is not showing on the PDF Output when you export (print it) 

Any suggestions why?

Mail to multiple dept but ticket being created only in one of them

I'm using v1.9.4

I have several departments using the same osticket system, with their own mail address.
Sometimes, our customers send e-mail to one department copying another department, but only one of them receive the ticket.

Is this meant to be this way? Can I set it to create the ticket in all the departments in copy?

That's so annoying and in my eyes, there is no E-Mail-Loop! Tell me where?!?!
And if its detected, why not with more information????????

file upload error on first ticket

Hi, 
i'm running v1.9.5.1 and i'm have some trouble with the file upload from customer side.
It happen only on firefox, it seems to work correctly, no error on front end it even show the preview, but when you submit the ticket the image is no more there, without show any error, even on php logs.
If the image is attached to a ticket reply it work fine.

has anyone experienced this? any idea where i can check why the image is not attached?

Hi can you help me about my problem because i was abit desperate.

Hello,

A draft is created in osTicket when editing in the text editor. Then if the agent attempts to leave the page in his browzer without submitting the note, the brower (tested in Chrome and in Internet Explorer) asks the agent if he would really like to leave the page because changes will not be saved. 

This is the proper response from osTicket, thereby preventing the agent from leaving without knowingly not submitting his note.

The problem, however, is that this notification only comes if a "Title" in the note is entered (which is also an optional field). If the note details is drafted without presenting a titel, the brower allows the agent to leave the page without a notification. This has caused some of our agents a few times to accidentally leave the page without submitting their note. 

Does anyone know where in the sourcecode I could change this so that the brower will notify an agent as long as something is entered in the "Title", "Details", or even if a document was added?

We are experiencing and issue with user not being able to check their ticket status. When entering their email and the ticket number provided by the application and the receive the following error "Account confirmation required", if both the email and ticket number is valid what functionality trigger the error? 

This error only occur for a few user. 

Any suggestion?

I get an error trying to use SMTP for email sending:

Using Strato as an provider I have to use SSL/TLS. osTicket can't connect. 

I get the error:

a variable with current staff name

Hello,
i want add a variabile in the canned responses.

the message is a simply text message who says
"Hello I'm STAFFNAME you can see my info in www.sitename.com/page.php?who=STAFFNAME"

i try to put there a variable but doesnt works becouse the ticket in not assigned yet.

the problem is that the ticket is not assigned yet so these variable are empy
%{ticket.assigned.name}
%{ticket.assigned}
%{ticket.staff.name}
%{ticket.staff.name.first}

so... how can know "my name", the current staff  name?

in php i can write $thisstaff->getId() for take this info

i want a variabile like %{myinfo.name.first} %{myinfo.email} etc...

is possible?

Hi all, I've been using an instance of OSTicket without issue for a while, currently on V1.9.15, all was working absolutely fine, we use Exchange Online for Our Email (outllok.office365.com, IMAP+SSL:993) - and have OSTicket move an email after it's been processed.  This worked fine, due to hardware failure we've now had to replace our WHM server, and do cpmoves  on all accounts, this has gone swimmingly, emails afre still processed but they are no longer moved from the inbox root, is there some kind of Apache or PHP extension that I've missed that handles this, or anything else you can think of?

v1.9.7 - PHP Errors after removing a plugin

I attempted to install osticket-plugin-archiver (https://github.com/clonemeagain/osticket-plugin-archiver) from 'Admin Panel > Manage > Install Plugins' yesterday and it resulted in HTTP 500 Errors on all the osTicket pages within our IIS environment.  

After deleting the pluginfrom the include/plugins folder I was able to login again but started noticing errors appear every 15 sec in C:\Windows\Temp\PHP53_errors.log:

HTTP 500 error when performing advanced search with Created On date

osTicket Version v1.10.1
Web Server Software Microsoft-IIS/10.0
MySQL Version 5.5.45
PHP Version 5.6.31


When doing an Advanced Ticket Search and selecting Created on and any date, I get an HTTP 500 error page.  I can successfully search Created dates in other ways but NOT when it's one specific date.

This is the error in the PHP error logs:

How to create a new ticket?

Hay,
I have installed ver 1.9 of osTicket on Fedora linux.

The problem is : Whenever I am raising a new ticket it takes hell lot of time.

Checked everything as far as OS and hardware goes. Everything is ok There is no performance issue.

Please some one ple guide on what to check and how.

Sorting Issue on ticket number

Hi Everyone,

osTicket version 1.9.7
PHP Version 5.6

While sorting the on ticket number (Closed & Open) it does not sorted out correctly, Some random tickets are displayed in between.  Screen shoot is attached. If we export it, Excel is able to sort it correctly.

Even if we sort tickets in descending order but still it is displayed in ascending order.

I can't import  new Users into the list with menu Copy Paste. And the system show error below.

Translation not alway working

Hi All,

I have search the forum for translation information and as far as i know you can find the information in crowdin site and as far as i can see the translation to french is completed. My question relate to information that is translated but does not seem to work all the time. I'm trying to find out why that is?

In the page below you can see the highlighted word in English

In the same page in french you can see that some translation work and some don't the word Sign In in the header section get translated to Connexion but in the page it remain Sign In any idea why?

How to have a ticket filter time based

I cant find a ticket filter whereby after a certain time period, I am able to assign new tickets to a different department.
For example, business hours it'll send to it-support@domain.com, after business hours it'll send to external-it-support@domain.com.
Is there a function to do this?
