Bug report (?) New agents all get ''Access denied'' if I create the password for them.

Hello,

I created a few new employees (agents). They all systematically get an Access Denied message on the agent login page.

Here's how I created them: 

Agents > add new agent 

I fill in the fields and under Authentification, I put a username and click on ''set password''. There I UNCHECK send the agent a reset email and create a dummy password. 

I leave the ''Require password change at next login'' CHECKED. (I tried to UNCHECK it, same result). I click ''set'', I set up the organisation/team, the access etc. and create.

The user is unable to login with said user name/ password (that I created).

If I go back in ''set password'' and this time leave the ''send the agent a reset email'' CHECKED and create. The agent gets the password reset email and is able to change his password (even to the same one I had created for them).

We do NOT use the LDAP plugin.

If a ticket currently assigned to a team is reassigned to an agent, it keeps it assigned to a team.
Is there any way to change that so it's one or the other, but not both?

Hi Everybody:
i'm installing osticket on my webserver and we have hosted email in other server so we are trying to remote piping.
we use a job to execute "cron.php" every minute, but i'm not sure what we have to change on file?

Unable to view newly created ticket

Hi,

Version: v1.9.16 (f4a172f)

I create ticket, the email gets sent to my gmail, with the link I should be able to open the ticket, without having to verify email or register an account because that's what I have set in the settings.

However, everytime i click on that link it pops up with an error saying that account verification is required and, on my admin email it says that there was a failed login attempt made.

So no account is required or email verification and yet it will not show me the ticket.

User unable to login, Login.php page is empty. I can login as agent if Browse directly to www.myurl.com/scp  install information attached  and screenshot of login page attached

This installation has been running with no issues for a few months and then this occurred today. No changes were made. I was able to look at the php logs on the server and seems this error started coming in the same time this issue occurred-

osTicket Migration from Windows to Linux Server

Dear All:

Looking for guidance on an issue that arose from moving osTicket from a Windows Server to a Linux Server.

We are using osTicket 
v1.9.12 (19292ad) on Apache/Linux with PHP 5.6.35 and mySQL 5.6.39 hosted on Godaddy.

We use Gmail as primary email using POP3, on Port 995, and each email login attempt results in a
"Unable to create TCP socket: Address family not supported by protocol."

Could this something with IPv6 ?

I have confirmed that the port is open, any information on what may be causing this would be helpful, or any known workarounds.

Error on e-mail sending service

Hello everyone.

I do not know what this error means, but some users open the ticket through the client interface, I get the alert in my email (Access denied. Can you see what is wrong?), however I can not find the ticket in the helpdesk system.

System logs:

"Failed to send data [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 452, response: 4.3.1 Insufficient system resources]]"

I've attached the printscreen with this message below.

Nothing has changed on the server and application (osticket)

Could anyone please help me?

incoming mail cut to the first letter accented

Hello everybody,
first post !

I have a little issue with incomming mail.
incomming emails come through an imap account (office365). It's works but sometime the email is cut to the first letter accented in the body. In the office 365 account, the mail is ok, not in osticket. No error in log on ubuntu. I have no idea, and you ? :)

Number of closing ticket is not displaying

I have total 14 tickets in closed folder but that number is not showing next to closed folder.
e.g. it is showing 'Closed' instead it should show Closed (14).
Any suggestion?
Some setting missing at my end?

Email retrieval does not work with Office 365

Hi,  I've been using Osticket for two year with no issues, but we are moving our mail infraestructure to Office 365. I am trying set up the email using different configurations but it does not work.  I think the main issue is regarding TLS protocol using by Office 365. 

Any idea on how can I fix this problem,

I was using OST for about an year without any problem. BUT after a PHP server reconfiguration my OST stopped working. I cannot login anymore.

I am sure that the following code line ...

... is causing the problem: 

Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.


When I delete this line the page works fine. BUT I cannot login AND the images don't load anymore.

- PHP Version 5.6.36
- OS: Linux br-hdi-web88.weblink.com.br 2.6.32-896.16.1.lve1.4.53.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Sun Feb 18 08:20:42 EST 2018 x86_64

Can you realize any extension that is missing (or misconfigured) in my server?

Ticket Searches - Partial text matches?

I'm finding since moving from osticket 1.7 up to 1.9.8.1 the way ticket searches work has changed so that it doesn't match any partial words?

I'm not sure if this is intended or a bug\configuration problem of some sort but in the previous version we were using it did find tickets based
on partial word matches and this is the preferred behavior from my point of view. Could anyone suggest a way to get it back?

To give you and example: We might have a ticket with the text "management" in the subject, If i search for the word "management" it finds the ticket as
you'd expect HOWEVER if I search for the word "manage" it wont find any tickets.

Font not woking when import from ADs

Hi Guys,

I was import user form ADs it's dose work but when I testing create ticket I found the problem "From" column was shown "..." on agent page, see picture below.

When I goto phpmyadmin to see what happen, I found "name" field it's wrong character.

But when I log-in on client page and name it was show correct.
Please advice for this problem.

HTTP 500 error when performing advanced search with Created On date

When doing an Advanced Ticket Search and selecting Created on and any date, I get an HTTP 500 error page.  I can successfully search Created dates in other ways but NOT when it's one specific date.

This is the error in the PHP error logs:

Hi,

I have installed ostick 1.11 and I have a problem with form fields. I'm setting some fields as not visible to agents but for some reason I'm still seeing the field when an agent creates a new ticket.

Any help please ?

IOException: Unable to read resource content

I have been getting the following error on and off for the past two days since we changed from database to file storage using the available plug-in:

subject of email: IOException: Unable to read resource content
body of email

(root)/attachments//V/VpPCKItrlkG9iOxU2yyq4ZUdwYKwAug4: Unable to delete file

/tmp/phpabdX9Y: Unable to move file

/tmp/phpUCRf77: Unable to move file

Note: there is nothing in the PHP logs at the time when we receive these error emails.  The errors are logged inside OST's sys log function

Here is my relevant OST Data:

osTicket Versionv1.9.5.1 (1faad22)
Web Server SoftwareApache
MySQL Version5.1.73
PHP Version5.3.3

Ideas?

Could someone explain to me how HTTP Passthru is supposed to work? Maybe my expectations are not correct. I have ldap enabled, which does work. I was expecting to see the user not prompted to login if passthru was enabled. Using the latest v1.9.4-rc2.  IIS

regex problem/question

Trying to make a regex filter that matches a list of help topic IDs (I know, you can specify the team assignment on the help topic, but humor me here...)  and a regex string that works in builders does not seem to work with osTicket  

/.*(18|20|21|22).*/iu

if I create a ticket with topic id 18,20,21 or 22 it does not match this filter string ... any idea why?

FLAG e-mail as answered on IMAP SERVER

Hi there, i setted os Ticket globally and it's working well. But i setted the IMAP server because i can see the flag ANSWERED from my mail client.
The problem is that if i answer to a ticket it's not flagged as ANSWERED and i can't monitor question and answer from thunderbird (for example).
What's the problem?
